Local Accountant background
Local accountant in Ripley with all round accounts experience covering many areas like treasury, VAT, payroll, company reporting, tax returns, dealing with HMRC, statutory accounts and Companies House.
I started my journey into the finance and accounts area of business as a Trainee Accountant at Bernard Matthews, studying for my qualification whilst working and achieving that at the age of 26, becoming an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (A.C.M.A.)

This then led me eventually to the role of Financial Controller, operating at this level for over 25 years in various size businesses across Norfolk. Companies I worked for included United Closures & Plastics, Dalgety, Jarrolds, Cromer Crab Company, Youngs Seafood and Traditional Norfolk Poultry.
​
I gained extensive experience across many areas of business other than just finance, these included Cost Control, Insurance, IT, Human Resources and Procurement.
